Westchester Insider: Westchester County Legislator Mary Jane Shimsky 12th District: Find Relief at Westchester County Cooling Centers.

Westchester County Cooling Centers.

New York State has designated over 50 Cooling Centers throughout the County to assist residents during this week’s extended heat wave, which is forecasted to go throughout the weekend. Each location will be equipped with seating, water, and air conditioning. Many will have free public Wi-Fi and outlets to charge devices. If a cooling center is not available, libraries, supermarkets, and indoor malls are also great places to stay cool.

Remember, call before you go! Cooling centers may be closed at certain times or only available during extreme heat events. The phone number and address of each cooling center is provided. For the Cooling Center nearest you, please click on this link: https://on.ny.gov/3RPWTd6. Information on the website represents the most up-to-date information provided by local agencies.
