Westchester Insider: Westchester County Legislator Margaret Cunzio 3rd District: Free Community Narcan Training - Monday, 6/6.

 

Dear Friends and Neighbors, 

Please join me, New York State Senator Pete Harckham, and the Thornwood Fire Department on Monday, June 6 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. for a free community Narcan training to educate participants on how to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose by administering the nasal spray medication known as Naloxone, an opioid antagonist. 

Over the course of the training, participants will learn how to identify the signs of an opioid overdose and how to and how to administer naloxone. By the end of the training, all participants will leave with a two-year naloxone certification and a free emergency kit with two doses of naloxone and other safety equipment. 

The training will take place at the Thornwood Fire Department at 770 Commerce St Thornwood, NY 10594.
