Westchester Insider: Westchester County Legislator and Vice Chair of County Board, Nancy Barr 6th District: NYS DPS to Hold Virtual Public Statement Hearings on Con Edison Proposed Rate Increase.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

On January 28, 2022 Con Edison filed amendments with the New York State Public Service Commission requesting an increase in its electric and natural gas delivery revenue (i.e. a rate increase), which would go into effect on January 1, 2023. As part of the process in evaluating this request, the New York State Public Service Commission will hold a series of virtual public statement hearings on March 22, 29, and 31, 2022, to solicit input and comments from the public. Comments can also be submitted in writing.

Please review the message below from the Commission, which provides Con Edison’s rationale for the rate increase, and the process for participating in these upcoming public hearings.
