During the Weekly Westchester Briefing:
· Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Sharon Torres to discuss the latest developments and upcoming events in the village.
· This summer the Westchester County Consumer Protection Department will continue its commitment to protecting consumers by conducting annual inspections of every grocery store in Westchester. County to release video to show that these inspections rigorous, ensuring that consumers receive accurate product measurements, fair transactions and pay the correct price at checkout.
· Sharing Shelf Executive Director Deborah Blatt to join launching the 14th Annual "Backpacks to School" initiative to provide new backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies for low-income children in Westchester County. Since 2011, the program has supplied more than 15,000 children with new backpacks and essential school supplies.
