Westchester Insider: Westchester County Board of Legislators: WESTCHESTER COUNTY BOARD OF LEGISLATORS REGULAR BOARD MEETING WITH TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS & CARIBBEAN-AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION.

Please join the Westchester County Board of Legislators for two public hearings at the regular Board meeting:

 

1.      A proposed Local Law amending Chapter 705 of the Laws of Westchester County to implement a demonstration program for the purpose of imposing liability on the owners of vehicles who fail to stop for school buses displaying a red visual signal and stop-arm. 

2.      A proposed Local Law amending Chapter 107 of the Laws of Westchester County to modify the length of terms for Westchester County Legislators.

 

At the Caribbean-American Heritage Month Celebration, we will be recognizing two exemplary honorees this year:

·         Victoria Bayard Tipp, Town of New Castle Supervisor

·         Effie Phillips, Yonkers Community Advocate.
