CELEBRATE HISPANIC CULTURE AT HERITAGE FESTIVAL AT KENSICO DAM PLAZA.
(Valhalla, NY) –– Join us to celebrate Hispanic culture and traditions at the Hispanic Heritage Festival on Sunday, July 7 from noon to 6 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.
County Executive George Latimer said, “Family, respect and loyalty are core values in the Hispanic way of life. Most valued is familismo, which is the concept that family should take priority over all other aspects of one's life. Hispanics are also known for their love of music, religion, and elaborate holiday celebrations. Come celebrate and learn about Hispanic culture at Kensico Dam Plaza!”
Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathleen O’Connor said, “Leave your passport at home. Come enjoy this family-friendly free event, listen to the upbeat music, try some Hispanic cuisine and learn all about Hispanic customs without having to travel abroad.”
