FIND THE PERFECT PLANT AT THE FRIENDS OF LASDON PARK PLANT SALE.
(Somers, NY) Mark your calendars for The Friends of Lasdon Park & Arboretum (FLPA) Annual Plant Sale. This much-loved sale is celebrated for its massive selection of annual and native plants, shrubs, trees, vegetables and more.
Early spring is the perfect time to get outside and start enhancing your gardens, patios and planters.
The sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “We call Lasdon Westchester’s Public Garden because of its extraordinary natural beauty. The Annual Plant Sale is the perfect way for folks from Westchester and beyond to bring some of Lasdon right to their homes.”
Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said: “Lasdon’s 234 acres are at their peak of splendor this time of year. We love that we can help people enrich their own plant life.”
Members of Cooperative Extension will be available to answer questions and assist with your selections. George’s Wood Fire Pizza will be on hand. Additionally, Mill River Supply will be present to cater to all your gardening supply needs. All of the plants will be showcased on the Conservatory Plaza. Please bring your own wagon or cart.
Parking and admission are free. Event is rain or shine. We encourage all plant lovers to take part in this amazing opportunity to add some greenery to your home.
