·         Department of Consumer Protection Director James Maisano will address the efforts of County Consumer Protection regarding the enforcement of laws mandating proper licensing for home improvement contractors operating within Westchester. With the arrival of spring prompting consumer interest in home improvements, it is crucial for both consumers and contractors to understand and adhere to the legal framework. Contractors are obligated to meet all stipulations outlined in Article XVI of County Law, titled "Licensing of Persons Engaged in Home Improvement Business.” He will also touch on some the contractor scams his office is addressing in Westchester County.
