During the Weekly Westchester Briefing:
· Scarsdale Mayor Justin Arest shared updates concerning his municipality.
· Invest in Kids funding recipient, Latino U College Access, celebrated college acceptance season and detailed the work Latino U College Access does in providing support and workshops to high school students to prepare them for college success.
· Latimer discussed Westchester County’s Department of Environmental Facilities (DEF) Household Recycling Day (HRD) Event scheduled for Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at FDR State Park in Yorktown. The upcoming HRD event in Yorktown will be the first HRD event in 2024, giving residents across the County an opportunity to conveniently and safely dispose of their household waste.
· Vietnam Veteran Jerry Morano of Rye Brook discussed Vietnam Veterans Day and his experience in the Vietnam War.
