MOUNT KISCO MAN CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER IN STABBING DEATH.
(Mount Kisco, NY) -- Westchester County Police detectives have charged a Mount Kisco man with Manslaughter 1st Degree in connection with the stabbing death of another village resident over the weekend.
Both the victim and the deceased resided at 305 Lexington Avenue and were known to each other. The incident occurred inside that address.
The suspect, Oscar Morales, 41, was arrested Sunday following an investigation by Patrol officers and detectives from the General Investigations Unit assigned to the Mount Kisco precinct. Morales was arraigned before Justice Mark Farrell of Mount Kisco Justice Court and remanded without bail to the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.
On Saturday, June 24, at 11:12 pm, WCPD Communications received a 911 call reporting an assault with a knife that just occurred at 305 Lexington Ave. Patrol Officers arrived at the scene and found a man with who had suffered multiple stab wounds.
Officers rendered first aid until the victim was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital Center. The victim was pronounced deceased at 12:18 a.m.
According to witnesses, Morales and the victim had an argument that turned into a physical altercation, and Morales allegedly used a knife to stab the victim. Morales was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Mount Kisco Precinct.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending confirmation of his identity.
