HILLTOP HANOVER FARM’S COMMUNITY FARM TO TABLE SERIES BEGINS, SATURDAY, JUNE 3.
(Yorktown Heights, NY) – Experience food from source to belly at Hilltop Hanover Farm’s Community Farm to Table Series, the first Saturday of the month beginning June 3, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; no event in September.
Participants will learn the organic growing process, harvest ingredients and prepare seasonal meals in the farm kitchen. The hands-on series will provide participants with the opportunity to meet the farmers and growers, ask questions and taste the best seasonal produce the farm has to offer.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “Farm to Table food is not only one of the best options for health, it also supports our community. I’m thrilled Hilltop Hanover Farm is offering classes of this nature to teach sustainability to our residents while indulging in some of Westchester County’s offerings!”
Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, Kathy O’Connor said, “Hilltop Hanover Farm is a leader in Westchester County in educating the public in sustainable and organic practices. I’m certain participants will leave the series with new knowledge and full bellies!”
Registration is required. $20 per person. All ages welcome; children ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult and children ages five and under are free. Family registration available for $50 per family.
