County Executive George Latimer Releases Statement on

Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2023.

 

 

“As the 2020 Census showed us, Westchester County is home to a growing Asian-American population – adding much life and culture to the beautiful mosaic that is our home County. This AAPI Heritage Month has an official theme, ‘Advancing Leaders Through Opportunity.’ These is a theme that we live every day in Westchester County Government. From our creation of the Asian-American Advisory Board, to advancing pieces of legislation and Executive Orders aimed to increase access and awareness of County Government functions, to the election of the first Asian-American County Legislator in Westchester’s history, greater opportunity leads to a better, more representative, government for everyone. I am proud to recognize this month and join in the national call to advance all AAPI residents of Westchester.”
