Westchester Insider: Westchester County Parks: THE 44TH ANNUAL POLISH HERITAGE FESTIVAL TO KICK OFF 2023 CULTURAL HERITAGE CELEBRATIONS.

THE 44TH ANNUAL POLISH HERITAGE FESTIVAL TO KICK OFF 2023 CULTURAL HERITAGE CELEBRATIONS.

May 1, 2023 – The 44th Annual Polish Heritage Day will kick off the 2023 Cultural Heritage Celebrations on Sunday, May 21, noon to 6 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.

The festival will showcase Polish American cultural exhibits, polka music and dancing featuring a children’s polish school performance. Meet the 2023 Parade Marshall and Miss Polonia, sample authentic Polish foods and baked goods while browsing a variety of vendors selling Polish crafts.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “Part of what makes Westchester County great is that we are a melting pot of ethnicities and customs. County residents can experience a multitude of cultures this summer without ever leaving the country. So gather your family, leave your passport at home and enjoy the tapestry of traditions from around the world.”

Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said, “This celebration kicks off one of our most popular events - our series of ethnic festivals - where family and friends can delve into other cultures through music, art, dance and cuisine while visiting Kensico Dam, Westchester’s Central Park.”

The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn. No coolers will be allowed. Admission and parking are free.*
