THREE MEN INDICTED FOR FATAL SHOOTING IN PEEKSKILL.
WHITE PLAINS, NY – Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced that three men were arraigned on an indictment charging them in connection with the January 2023 murder of Ricky Brickhouse in Peekskill.
A Westchester County Grand Jury indicted Arnold Fernandez, 19, of Peekskill, for Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, both felonies, and Errick Lowe, 26, of Cortlandt Manor, and Omar Williams, 20, of Peekskill, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. The defendants were arraigned in Westchester County Court on February 23, 2023. Fernandez and Williams were remanded and bail was set for Lowe.
On January 29, 2023, at approximately 4:16 p.m., Fernandez allegedly fired three shots at the 35-year-old victim, striking him once, on Spring Street in Peekskill. The defendants are also charged with possessing a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol. The gun is believed to be the murder weapon.
The victim was transported to New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital in Peekskill and then Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he died.
The Peekskill Police Department arrested the defendants following a pursuit on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh. The Westchester County Department of Public Safety, the Westchester County Department of Public Safety’s Real Time Crime Center, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office High Technology Crime Squad, and the Westchester County Department of Laboratories and Research assisted with the investigation.
The case is before Judge George Fufidio in Westchester County Court, and is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Celia Curtis of the Trials and Investigations Division.
The charges against the defendants are merely an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
