Home ownership has often been defined as a mechanism to creating generational wealth. Affordable housing not only helps to build generational wealth, but can also aide in closing the racial wealth gap. This is also a chance for a family to send their children to excellent Rye public schools. I helped to create this affordable housing when I served on the Rye City Council.
