Westchester Insider: Westchester County: GIFT DRIVE HELPS KIDS IN NEED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON.

GIFT DRIVE HELPS KIDS IN NEED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON.

How Residents Can Bring Holiday Joy to Kids in Westchester.

(White Plains, NY) –  Westchester County is asking residents to help brighten the holidays for hundreds of the County's children most in need this season.

The County's Holiday Gift Drive is in full swing. The Drive provides holiday gifts to the nearly 1,000 children cared for in Westchester's foster care program or who are homeless or receiving other social services. Help us give these young people the holiday joy that all kids deserve.

Now through December 14, residents can leave new, unwrapped toys and other gifts in one of six drop off locations throughout the County, including in the lobby of the main County office building at 148 Martine Avenue in White Plains. (See full list below.)

Monetary donations are also accepted, by check or electronically through Zelle via the Westchester Child Welfare Holiday Fund. (Checks made payable to the Westchester Child Welfare Holiday Fund can be mailed to Barbara Sabater 112 East Post Road, Room 637, White Plains, New York 10601; electronic donations may be made to the Zelle ID email WCDSSHolidayGiftDrive@gmail.com.)

For those who want to help with a particular child's holiday dreams, wish lists are also available. More than 100 children's wish lists are still waiting to be filled.

Please join us in bringing holiday cheer to these kids and giving them a holiday season to remember.

If you have any questions about donations or to help with a wish list contact Barbara Sabater at bms7@westchestergov.com or call (914) 995-1937.

Thank you for your generosity.
