QUEENS MAN SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS IN STATE PRISON FOR NEW ROCHELLE HOME BURGLARY.
WHITE PLAINS, NY – Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced that Queens resident Kevin Rojo-Rojo, 23, was sentenced on September 7, 2022, to eight years in state prison for a 2021 New Rochelle home burglary. The defendant’s sentence will run concurrent to a nine-year prison sentence he received in June 2022 in Nassau County Court for five residential burglaries that took place between January and April 2021 in Nassau County.
In August 2022, the defendant pled guilty in Westchester County Court to Burglary in the Second Degree, a violent felony, for burglarizing a New Rochelle home at approximately 8 p.m. on March 18, 2021. During the incident, the defendant shattered a glass window to gain entry into the home and stole property from the homeowners, who were not present at the time of the incident.
The New Rochelle Police Department arrested the defendant on April 21, 2022, following an investigation, with assistance from the Harrison Police Department, the Nassau County Police Department and the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office.
The case was before Judge Alexandra Murphy in Westchester County Court, and was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Celia Curtis of the Trials and Investigations Division.
