FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DECEITFUL DCCC CHAIRMAN MALONEY AT IT AGAIN; Mails Blatantly False Information to NY-17 Voters.

NY-17-Sept. 12…Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, the controversial chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), is now mailing to voters blatant lies about his NY-17 opponent, Assemblyman Mike Lawler, the Lawler for Congress campaign reported today. This comes on the heels of Mr. Maloney ducking requests for additional debates from the Lawler campaign and other third parties.

Mr. Maloney, who came under withering fire from both liberals and conservatives recently for supporting the most right-wing congressional primary candidates in America as DCCC Chair, just sent an abhorrent mail piece in NY-17 falsely claiming that Mr. Lawler opposes abortion in cases of rape, incest, or health of the mother. Mr. Lawler does not. Mr. Lawler also firmly opposes a national abortion ban. Indeed, his position on abortion is far more in line with the public’s view on the issue than Mr. Maloney’s extremist position of abortion up until the moment birth for any reason, the Lawler campaign campaign notes. Mr. Maloney is so extreme on abortion that he allows for gender-based abortions — as well as abortions performed by non-doctors.

“Mr. Maloney is too cute by half in everything he does,” said Lawler campaign spokesman Bill O’Reilly, “but now he’s graduated to outright lying to the public. Mr. Maloney is so desperate to change the subject from inflation, taxes, and New York’s growing crime wave caused by Maloney’s no-cash-bail, that he’s willing to abandon the truth, potentially libelously, in his campaign ads. Mr. Maloney knows that voters have had it with his and Nancy's Pelosi’s radical agenda, so he’s upping his notoriously deceitful campaign tactics to a new, disturbing level. Voters, whose pocketbooks have been emptied by Maloney’s and Pelosi’s tenure in Congress, cannot be fooled. They need relief from Washington, and that’s what Mike Lawler will bring them.”
