Sean Patrick Maloney Falsely Claims DCCC Primary Ads Aimed to Hurt John Gibbs.
“New Yorkers don't need revisionist history — we need Democratic leadership to stop propping up anti-choice, election denier Republicans”
WESTCHESTER, NY - In response to Sean Patrick Maloney falsely claiming DCCC's primary ads in Michigan's third district were intended to hurt John Gibb's chances, describing DCCC's ads as "Democrats attacking a MAGA, anti-choice Republican,” Congressional Candidate for NY-17 Alessandra Biaggi released the following statement:
“It's a sad day when the DCCC chair doesn’t have the courage to be honest and straightforward about what the party is so obviously doing — at his direction.
“The facts are clear: Sean Patrick Maloney successfully boosted an anti-choice Trump Republican. New Yorkers don't need revisionist history — we need Democratic leadership to stop propping up anti-choice, election denier Republicans in the first place.”
Background:
Sean Patrick Maloney previously confirmed the DCCC would participate in propping up extremist Republicans: “You might see us do that.” [The Recount]
Numerous outlets have extensively covered Maloney’s strategy of spending DCCC funds to air TV ads to successfully boost John Gibbs in the Michigan Republican primary.
John Gibbs was not on television before the DCCC’s expenditure: "The only significant outside support that Gibbs has received is from House Democrats' campaign arm, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee." [HuffPost]
