FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: REP. SEAN PATRICK MALONEY WORKS TO ELECT EXTREMISTS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE, WHILE CONSTITUENTS SUFFER 9.1% INFLATION, CRIME WAVE.
NY-17, August 4…As New Yorkers struggle with the highest inflation rate in 40 years (9.1%) and a growing crime wave caused by the no-cash-bail policies Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney championed, the seat-hopping congressman has a priority all his own: electing and reelecting extremist candidates from both parties, Assemblyman and NY-17 congressional candidate Mike Lawler today charged.
Mr. Maloney — in his own words — recently identified reelecting (radical) Democrats, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14), Ilhan Omar (MN-5), and Rashida Tlaib (MI-13), as his top priority for 2022. Now, we've learned that Maloney is leading a Machiavellian national effort by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), which he chairs, to encourage Democrats to vote for the most right-wing candidates available in Republican primaries. The DCCC under Maloney has gone so far as to ask Democrats to register as Republicans in some states to game the GOP primaries.
“New Yorkers are trying to put food on the table, and Sean Patrick Maloney is running around the country playing political games,” Assemblyman Lawler said. “Families I speak with in the Hudson Valley want relief — from crime, taxes, and rising food and gas prices — and Mr. Maloney doesn’t seem to care about their needs at all. For him, it’s all about reelecting Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, Joe Biden as President in 2024, and himself as DCCC chairman.
“New Yorkers deserve representatives who show up for work, not a celebrity congressman who galivants around the world on congressional junkets — when he’s not traveling the country for candidates who couldn’t pick out Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, or Dutchess County on a map,” Mr. Lawler continued.
Political machinations are never ending for Mr. Maloney: In 2018, he filed suit to run for two seats at once, Congress and Attorney General (he got trounced), and he recently switched districts to run in NY-17. The move forced out a sitting Democrat congressman who Mr. Maloney was ostensibly supposed to help reelect.
