Statement from Alessandra Biaggi on Opponent Sean Patrick Maloney Funding Michigan Election Denier.

“Sean Patrick Maloney is Playing Russian Roulette with our democracy”

“Maloney would rather prop up dangerous election deniers than invest Democratic dollars in working class champions”

WESTCHESTER, NY - In response to Sean Patrick Maloney's successful effort to help election denier and anti-choice Republican candidate John Gibbs win his Republican primary - https://thehill.com/homenews/house/3581546-democrats-battle-each-other-over-help-for-pro-trump-gop-candidates/ in Michigan last night, and recent reports that the DCCC and aligned organizations have spent nearly $44 million to boost far-right candidates - https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2022/07/democrats-spend-millions-on-republican-primaries/ , Democratic Congressional candidate for NY-17 Alessandra Biaggi issued the following statement:

“DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney is playing Russian roulette with our democracy. When Roe was overturned, Maloney’s DCCC sent out fundraising pleas to help protect abortion rights. Americans are sending their hard-earned dollars to the DCCC — and Maloney is spending their money to prop up anti-choice election deniers.

“Democrats win when we invest in leaders who champion working people, not corporate donors. Unfortunately, Maloney would rather prop up dangerous election deniers than invest Democratic dollars in working class champions.

“Sean Patrick Maloney’s best strategy to beat Republicans is to give them our resources. Just one more reason why we need new leadership in the party.”
