Westchester Disabled on the Move and Assemblymember Burdick Celebrate the 32nd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act

Westchester Disabled on the Move, Inc. (WDOMI) and Assemblymember Chris Burdick, Chair of the NYS Assembly Subcommittee for Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities, will celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Special guest speakers at the event will include WDOMI Executive Director Maria Samuels, inspirational speaker & inclusion consultant Geri Mariano, author & activist Annie Chiappetta, and health advocate and Greenburgh Disability Advisory Committee member Amit Patel.

Elected official speakers will include Assemblymember Chris Burdick, NYS Senator Shelley Mayer, County Executive George Latimer, Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins, County Legislator Ben Boykin, County Legislator Jewel Williams Johnson, and White Plains Mayor Tom Roach.

 

Visioned by Sound, a music group made up of high school students from Scarsdale High that focuses on blind composers and blind musicians, will be performing during the event.

The program will also be streamed live on Assemblymember Burdick's Facebook page.
