NY-17-July 13…America’s startling 9.1 percent inflation rate is a direct result of the high-spending, high-borrowing agenda of Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-17), who has been the most reliable champion of Biden-Pelosi policies that are busting the pocketbooks of everyday New Yorkers, Assemblyman and congressional candidate Mike Lawler today charged. 

“This crippling inflation didn’t happen by mistake,” Assemblyman Lawler said. “It’s happening because Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney and his woke colleagues in Washington spend too much, borrow too much, and mismanage basic economic policy. As a result, New Yorkers — already suffering as the highest taxed people in America — are being forced to pay an extra 9.1 percent Biden-Pelosi-Maloney tax at grocery stores, at the pump — everywhere they go. Even the cost of postage stamps is going up.” 

Assemblyman Lawler noted that Mr. Maloney just recommitted to supporting President Joe Biden for re-election in 2024, and he has long been known as one of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s closest political confidants. 

“When I say New Yorkers can’t afford another two years of Sean Patrick Maloney in Washington, I mean it literally,” Assemblyman Lawler said. “Everywhere I go in the Hudson Valley, whether I’m talking with Democrats, Republicans, or independents, I hear fear in people’s voices. Families are struggling to put food on the table and gas in their tanks – and the inflation rate keeps going up and up and up without relief.
