On the Democratic Party Side: Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney is currently Represents 18th Congressional District, after Redistricting He is now in the 17th Congressional District and will run for the 17th District in the Democratic Party Primary.
New York State Senator Alessandra Biaggi who currently represents the 34th State Senate District, She originally was running for NY 03 District, But with the New Redistricting Maps, She has decided to Mount A Democratic Party Primary Challenge to Congressman Maloney in the 17th District.
Current Congressman of the 17th District, Mondaire Jones after Redistricting has decided to Run for NY 10 District down in New York City.
On the Republican Party Side: New York State Assemblyman Michael Lawler has entered the race for the 17th Congressional District. Other Republicans who filed for this Seat: Somers Town Councilman, William Faulkner, Jack Schrepel and Charles Falciglia.
