Walk from Lenoir Preserve to Untermeyer Gardens on the Old Croton Aqueduct. Learn about the history of three parks and take lots of pictures. Bring cameras and good walking shoes for this two-mile walk.

We will search the skies for hawks making their journey south. We often see hundreds in a single day! Meet behind the mansion at 10 a.m.

Learn about the origins of fear while meeting incredible live animal ambassadors from around the globe. Limited space and registration required. $15 per person. Ages 4 and up.

Fall Foliage Hike: 11 a.m.
Take in the smells and beauty of fall with a hike to the overlook with our museum staff. Sturdy shoes and plenty of water are recommended. Meet at the end of Michigan Road. Hike begins promptly at 11 a.m.
Volunteer Work Project: Spreading Gravel on the Hiking Trails: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Great for any type of service credit hours. Please bring work gloves. Hand tools will be provided.

Walking Tour of the Street Tree Collection: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Discover the wide variety of trees that can be planted in areas near a street. These trees were selected for their compact size, salt tolerance and disease and insect resistance.
