COUNTY EXECUTIVE GEORGE LATIMER STATEMENT ON THE NEW YORK LIBERTY.

COUNTY EXECUTIVE GEORGE LATIMER STATEMENT ON THE NEW YORK LIBERTY.
“The announcement by the New York Liberty that they will move to the Barclays Center for the 2020 WNBA season was expected, in light of new Liberty owner Joe Tsai’s ownership of the Nets and the Barclays Center. Consolidating his holdings into one location makes good business sense.

“For the past two years Westchester County has welcomed hosting the Liberty at the County Center as they expanded their reach into the suburban market. As they relocate into the larger, dynamic urban market of Brooklyn, we wish the team much success for future seasons.”
