For the first time in over a decade, Playland is welcoming a new ride to the Park. And while it is called “Disk'O 24” by the manufacturer, the children of Westchester County will get to name this ride. Last month, the County asked the public to email all name ideas with a deadline of July 1.

After nearly 400 submissions, County Executive George Latimer will join 1st through 6th grade children attending the County’s Nature Camp at Cranberry Lake Preserve to choose the name from five finalists.
