Get Ready for the Armonk Chamber’s 2019 Third Thursday and Sale Days this Summer!
Third Thursday
The Armonk Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring back its popular "Third Thursday" Summer community celebrations this June, July and August. Each day will begin with in-store all day sales, specials and promotions at local businesses and end with music and activities in the evenings. New this year are live evening concerts in Wampus Brook Park to cap off the July and August dates. Concert attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, food and drinks for a musical picnic under the stars. The Fortina pizza truck will also be there to serve hot personal pies.
Chili Cookoff in Armonk Square on June 20th from 5:30-7:30 will be the first of our Summer events, featuring individual interpretations by ten local restaurants and eateries. A people’s choice award will be presented for the winning recipe. Live music begins at 5pm with the School of Rock, and Vinyl Countdown will perform from 6:30-8:30pm.
Our Car Show on July 18th from 5-7:30pm, will start with a parade around downtown, followed by a staging at St. Stephen’s Church at 50 Bedford Rd. It will include a mix of classic and performance cars. Live music in Armonk Square will be performed by Willful Misconduct from 5-7:30pm. Then, from 7:30-9:30pm, One Stop Pony, a uniquely authentic tribute band, will perform a live mix of Billy Joel and Neil Diamond tunes in Wampus Brook Park. The Late Show’s Paul Shaffer called theirs “The best Neil Diamond tribute act out there.”
August 15th wraps up the season with “Kids on the Town,” featuring child-friendly music and dancing with Michael Salem, along with other childrens’ activities in Armonk Square from 5-7:30pm. At 7:30pm, Ladies and Gentlemen will perform a live variety of classic, soul, funk and R&B hits in Wampus Brook Park. Picnickers are welcome!
The hamlet of Armonk has a great selection of restaurants and boutiques to suit every taste. Third Thursdays are a perfect reason to come and spend the day!
