COUNTY EXECUTIVE GEORGE LATIMER STATEMENT ON YOM KIPPUR.
"As Yom Kippur begins, Jewish families across Westchester County and around the world will come together to mark a day of atonement, reflection and prayer. This sacred and solemn holiday is a time to step back from our everyday routine, look inward, and seek forgiveness for the drawbacks in our own lives. To all who observe Yom Kippur, may your prayers bring you peace, and your reflections lead to growth and understanding. I send my warmest wishes to our Jewish community and hope for a meaningful day and an easy fast. G’mar Chatimah Tovah."
