Westchester Insider: Westchester County Legislator Erika Pierce 2nd District: Summer Camp registration starts next week.

It may look like winter outside,
but summer camp registration starts in February!

Camp Registration and descriptive links:
Our County Parks offer wonderful summer camp opportunities for residents.  I know firsthand because both of my children were happy campers, literally, while they were growing up here. Below are links for the Summer Camp Programs in our County Parks, including the Trailside Nature Camp at Ward Pound Ridge and Muscoot Farm’s Summer Programs. Registration for these programs will start in mid-February and will be done via webtrac. Instructions for using webtrac can be found here.

  • Information for Muscoot Farm’s Young Farmer Programs can be found here. Online registration for these programs starts on February 16th, 2022 and is done through webtrac.
  • Information for the Trailside Nature Camp at Ward Pound Ridge can be found here.  Registration starts on February 23rd at noon and is done through webtrac.
  • Information for additional Westchester County summer programs can be found here.

If you or your children aged 16 years or older are interested in working at any of the County’s Summer Nature programs, or at Westchester County Parks as lifeguards or other park staff:

Having kids who grew up in the community, not only do I recommend attending our nature camps, I can also add that these programs and our parks in general offer great employment opportunities. For individuals 16 and older interested in working at Muscoot’s summer camp, Muscoot is accepting applications now.  You must be comfortable with the physical demands of working in an outdoor parks environment during the summer, demonstrate an appreciation for farm animals and an enthusiasm for working with children.  All applicants must be available Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, from June 24 to August 16.  For more information, send a resume and cover letter introducing yourself including any relevant experience to Jonathon Benjamin at jlb7@westchestergov.com.

For information regarding working at the county’s other camp programs, including Trailside and Mountain Lakes look here. Find other employment opportunities in our county parks here.
