Congressman Jamaal Bowman Endorses Senator Biaggi For U.S. Congress.
PELHAM, NY - Today, Congressman Jamaal Bowman (NY-16) of the Bronx and Westchester endorsed New York State Senator Alessandra Biaggi for U.S. Congress in New York’s third congressional district (NY-3). Congressman Bowman’s endorsement comes one day after Senator Biaggi launched her congressional campaign.
“I am proud to endorse Senator Biaggi in her run for Congress,” said Congressman Jamaal Bowman. “Senator Biaggi leads with relentless compassion. She’s smart, bold, principled, hard-working, and most importantly, loves people. She is a champion for women’s rights and the working class, and her countless victories in the State Senate show that she truly understands the urgency of this moment. As a member of Congress, I am working hard to build a nation that works for everyone, not just the privileged class, and I have full confidence Senator Biaggi, with her tireless advocacy, is looking to do the same. I look forward to Senator Biaggi joining me in DC so together we can continue to fight for working New Yorkers and for a society that embodies the ideals of justice, equality, and solidarity.”
“I am thrilled and incredibly grateful to receive Congressman Jamaal Bowman’s endorsement. I have the privilege of serving several communities in tandem with the Congressman, and I have learned so much from his leadership. Congressman Bowman is a champion for working families. He possesses an admirable commitment to strengthening New York’s public education and ensuring teachers and students have the resources they need, regardless of zip code. It is an honor to be Congressman Bowman’s friend and colleague, and I look forward to taking our partnership to the halls of Congress,” said Senator Alessandra Biaggi.
Congressman Bowman’s congressional district and Senator Biaggi’s senate district currently both share Riverdale, Mount Vernon, and Pelham. The newly drawn NY-3 district includes Westchester neighborhoods previously represented by Congressman Bowman.
