Westchester Insider: Westchester County Legislator Ben Boykin 5th District.


On Wednesday afternoon, June 17th, I was pleased to attend, alongside other elected officials, the Freedom School National Day of Social Action hosted by YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester and Union Baptist Church of White Plains. The event took place at Union Baptist Church of White Plains and focused on the theme of addressing book banning and access to culturally relevant literature. Scholars spoke on protecting the freedom to read.
