Westchester County Presents at Day at Playland for People with Disabilities Monday, July 8.
(White Plains, NY) – Over 7,500 people enjoyed the 47th Annual Day at Playland for People with Disabilities, which offers free, unlimited rides for people with disabilities, their family members and caregivers. The Westchester County Office for People with Disabilities, together with the Department of Parks Recreation and Conservation and Verizon, sponsored the event.
Latimer said: “This is a special event that has been provided year after year for our County residents who are differently-abled. Our Westchester County Office for People with Disabilities prides itself on its inclusivity, and providing opportunities that allow all of our residents to enjoy fun games and activities – just like everyone else.”
Director of the Office for People with Disabilities Evan Latainer said: “It is an honor for us to be here today, and be part of another wonderful event here on the sound shore. We look forward to continuing our mission in reaching out to everyone throughout Westchester County.”
