“Sean Patrick Maloney wanted no-cash-bail so badly that he called it his number one priority.

“Well, Maloney got what he wanted…and we got more crime in our communities and madness in our criminal justice system. 

“Last week a man — for no reason whatsoever — hauled off and punched a complete stranger in the Bronx from behind. Outright cold-cocked him. 

“The 52-year-old victim, Jesus Cortes, who was simply leaving a restaurant at the time, suffered severe brain damage and is now in a medically-induced coma. 

“The man who suckered punched him, a convicted Tier 3 sex offender, never should have been on the streets. He’d been convicted of viscously raping an underage girl, but New York parolled him early of course.  

“It gets worse: The Bronx district attorney has now reduced charges against the Bronx assailant to misdemeanors, so he’s back out on the street AGAIN, while his victim clings to life in a hospital room. 

“That’s the New York Sean Patrick Maloney has created. 

“Why would we ever give him another term?”
