WESTCHESTER, NY - In response to Sean Patrick Maloney’s latest deceptive fundraising plea which asks for DCCC donations to help Democrats defeat Trump, but links to Maloney’s primary election fundraising page for his race against Democrat Alessandra Biaggi, Democratic Congressional candidate for NY-17 Biaggi issued the following statement:

“Sean Patrick Maloney’s latest fundraising tactics are a clear attempt to deceive and mislead voters. Mr. Maloney is asking for money to help Democrats defeat Trump — but the link goes to his own fundraising page for his primary election against me.

“Just weeks ago Sean Patrick Maloney asked for DCCC donations to protect Roe — and then used the money to prop up an anti-choice election denier in Michigan. Now he's asking New Yorkers for their hard-earned cash to help the DCCC fight Trump — and using the money for his own primary campaign.

“Voters are tired of DC Democrats demanding donations and lying about where the money will go. If we want people to support the Democratic Party again, then DC politicians like Maloney have to stop misleading and lying to voters.”
