WESTCHESTER COUNTY TO OFFER FOOD ASSISTANCE TO RESIDENTS IN NEED DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
Food Assistance Hotline now available through DSS, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(White Plains, NY) – Westchester County is prepared to offer food assistance for residents and families having difficulty getting access to food while under isolation from COVID-19. The food assistance service is available to any Westchester County resident. To find out more information, call the Westchester County Department of Social Services at (914) 995-5566. Assistance is available from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “The COVID-19 pandemic continues to effect each and every one of us. Westchester County is dedicated to providing assistance to residents affected by COVID-19, and having access to healthy, nutritious food is not something we want our residents to struggle with. If you have been advised to isolate or quarantine due to a positive COVID-19 test result or an exposure, please do not hesitate to reach out to get the food that you and your family need.”
