PRESS RELEASE Mall Walk discussion to focus on healthy living for brain and body.

ALZHEIMER’S TO BE DISCUSSED AT NEXT MALL WALK.

(White Plains, NY) – “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research” will be the title of the talk at the Mall Walk program on Friday, September 6, at 9 a.m. at The Westchester’s Level 4 Food Court in White Plains.

The dialogue will be part of the Healthy Living Program from the Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley Chapter. Jessica Flores and Abby Salzman will be the speakers.

This talk will cover lifestyle habits associated with healthy aging: cognitive activity, exercise, diet/nutrition and social engagement. Flores and Salzman will draw on current research, and discuss steps to take now to improve or maintain overall health in each area. The premise is that at any age, we can adopt lifestyle habits to help maintain or even potentially improve our health. These habits may also help to keep our brains healthy as we age and possibly delay the onset of cognitive decline.

Sponsored by Westchester County Parks, the Mall Walk program offers year-round indoor health walking at The Westchester on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. A guest speaker is featured once a month.

To join, sign up at the Horse Fountain Plaza near Crate & Barrel on Retail Level Two, on Tuesday and Friday mornings during the program.
