Westchester County Legislator, Virginia Perez, 17th District.

The Hispanic Heritage Festival will be on Sunday, July 14 from noon to 7 p.m. at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. It is the sixth of 13 cultural heritage festivals taking place this year sponsored by and held in Westchester County Parks.
The festivities will include dancing, food, arts and crafts, children’s activities and a special appearance by Willie Colon. 
The festival will be held rain or shine. Seating is informal; bring blankets or folding chairs for seating on the lawn. Admission and parking are free.
The Hispanic Heritage Festival is organized by the Alianza Latina.
Other upcoming heritage festivals in the series are:
  • Arab-American, Sunday, July 21, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale
  • Italian, Sunday, July 21, noon to 7 p.m., Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla
  • Irish-American, Sunday, July 28, 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Ridge Road Park, Hartsdale (Irish-American festival admission: $5, free ages 14 and under)
  • Heritage of India, Sunday, August 4, 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla
  • Jewish, Sunday, August 18, noon to 6 p.m., Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla
  • Muslim Heritage, Sunday, August 25, noon to 7 p.m., Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla
Kensico Dam Plaza is at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway, in Valhalla. Ridge Road Park is at 287 Ridge Road in Hartsdale
