Bill Signing of The Westchester County Property Taxpayer Protection Act on Monday, July 8th in Greenburgh Town Hall.


THE WESTCHESTER COUNTY PROPERTY TAX PAYER PROTECTION ACT.


(White Plains, N.Y.) -- Westchester County Executive George Latimer, standing with school district leaders and other local elected officials, will roll out the County’s plan in response to the passage of the Westchester County Property Tax Payer Protection Act.

The Act, signed by Governor Andrew Cuomo, creates parity with neighboring counties and with cities in Westchester County.  Of the nearly 70 million dollars that will be collected, local municipalities will collect 20 percent and local school districts will collect 10 percent.
